Phoenix 2 Transforms Its Gameplay With A New Campaign Mode And Controller Support
The Android indie shoot 'em up, Phoenix 2, has received a massive update brimming with new content and features. Fans of its fast-paced action and strategic depth should read on to discover everything this update offers.
What's New?
The most significant addition is the brand-new campaign mode. Forget the daily missions; now you can immerse yourself in a full-fledged campaign featuring 30 meticulously crafted missions. This story-driven experience utilizes characters from the Phoenix 2 universe, offering a unique and engaging challenge for both veterans and newcomers, providing a welcome change of pace from the daily routine. A visually appealing new Starmap enhances exploration as you traverse diverse locations and battle invaders.
Another exciting addition is customizable player tags. Achieving VIP status unlocks the ability to personalize your leaderboard entry with a wide selection of designs, colors, and information options to ensure your tag stands out. High scores achieved with custom tags remain permanently displayed on the leaderboard.
Controller support is another key improvement. Players who prefer using a gamepad will find the game now fully compatible with modern controllers.
A Revamped User Interface
Speedrunners and competitive players will appreciate the new wave progress indicator and timer during speedruns, providing better real-time performance feedback during intense gameplay sessions.
Beyond these major additions, the update includes several smaller refinements and bug fixes, including updated character portraits. Download Phoenix 2 from the Google Play Store, choose your ship, and dive into the action!
