Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes

Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the closure of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they're reviving the concept in a completely new form: Project R.I.S.E.

Clash Heroes is officially cancelled. However, Supercell isn't abandoning the Clash universe. Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite, will inherit the spirit of its predecessor.

In a recent announcement video, game lead Julien Le Cadre confirmed the closure of Clash Heroes, but highlighted the positive shift towards a multiplayer-focused action RPG in Project R.I.S.E.

Project R.I.S.E. will be a fresh take on the Clash Heroes concept. It's a social action RPG roguelite, rebuilt from the ground up. Players will team up in groups of three to explore The Tower, a mysterious location with procedurally generated floors. The objective is to reach the highest floor possible. Unlike Clash Heroes, the emphasis is on cooperative gameplay with a diverse roster of characters.

Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
