It's a valuable source of loot, but can prove difficult for less powerful characters. While not essential to the main storyline, completing the Trial of the Sekhemas significantly aids early character progression and provides excellent loot rewards. This guide outlines the key steps.

How to Unlock the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2

To access this activity, you must defeat Balbala the Traitor, a formidable boss encountered in Traitor's Passage within Act 2. Her swift and powerful attacks make her a tough opponent early on. Defeating her yields Balbala's Barya, a crucial item required to initiate the Trial of the Sekhemas.

After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial's location via Ardura's travel map or Waypoint. You'll find a ruined temple where Balbala awaits, not as an enemy, but as a guide. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin your Trial.
