May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO players, packed with a variety of events and the much-anticipated return of the Lake Trio. This legendary trio will be making their presence felt in 5-Star Raids across different regions, offering players a thrilling challenge and a chance to catch these elusive Pokémon.

What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?

Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star Raids from May 1st to May 12th. This Guardian Deity comes with the special move Nature’s Madness, and there's even a chance to encounter its Shiny form.

Following Tapu Fini, the Lake Trio will take the stage starting May 12th. Depending on your location, you'll have the chance to battle Uxie in the Asia-Pacific region, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or India, and Azelf in the Americas or Greenland. This regional distribution adds an extra layer of excitement and strategy to your raid plans.

Once the Lake Trio wraps up their tour, Tapu Bulu will step into the spotlight in raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025. Like Tapu Fini, it will also feature Nature’s Madness and a potential Shiny encounter.

For those interested in Mega Raids, May offers a robust lineup. From May 1st to 12th, you can challenge Mega Houndoom. Following that, Mega Gyarados will take the stage from May 12th to 25th, and then Mega Altaria will be available from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month starts with the "Growing Up" event from May 2nd to 7th, and a special Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, the "Crown Clash" event will engage players, with the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend happening on May 10th and 11th.
