by Hunter Jan 06,2026

- Strength in Numbers runs from May 20th to May 22nd - Spread cheer by sending gifts to friends - Special Research tickets for Community Day Classic can now be gifted

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go reaches its climax with Niantic celebrating teamwork through an exciting global challenge. From Tuesday, May 20th through Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers event encourages trainers to exchange gifts with friends worldwide.

During this three-day period, players can open up to 50 gifts daily - significantly boosting opportunities to collect Stardust, valuable items, and strengthen friendships while contributing toward unlocking a special global reward: giftable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic featuring Machop.

If successful, starting May 23rd players can send these Machop Special Research tickets to any Great Friend-level buddy, even without purchasing one themselves. Simply visit the in-game shop to share Fighting-type excitement! Each trainer can distribute up to 20 tickets daily.

The challenge directly leads into the Machop Community Day Classic on May 24th (2:00-5:00 PM local time), featuring increased wild spawns and returning Shiny variants - ideal for both newcomers and veterans expanding their green Machamp collections.

Evolve Machoke by May 31st to obtain Machamp with Payback, a Dark-type charged attack that broadens its combat versatility. Additional event perks include Stardust bonuses, extended Incense/Lure durations, and Timed Research offering enhanced Shiny encounter odds.
