New Pokémon Game Launches on Nintendo Switch Online

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team Joins Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack

Get ready for a dungeon-crawling adventure! Nintendo announced that the classic Game Boy Advance title, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, will be available on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service starting August 9th. This beloved Pokémon roguelike joins the growing library of retro titles accessible through the Expansion Pack.

Launching originally in 2006, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team offers a unique twist on the Pokémon formula. Players transform into Pokémon, exploring procedurally generated dungeons and embarking on quests to solve the mystery behind their transformation. A companion title, Blue Rescue Team, was also released, and a remake, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, arrived on the Switch in 2020.
