Pokémon Go’s Small Yet Strong event brings your favourite tiny Pokémon to the forefront

by Andrew Mar 05,2025

The Pokémon Go "Small Yet Strong" event is bringing a flurry of tiny but mighty Pokémon! Running from February 5th to 8th, this event offers boosted XP, increased odds of finding extra-small (XXS) and extra-large (XXL) Pokémon, and the debut of Shiny Nymble. It's the perfect prep for the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour – Unova.

Double XP for catching Pokémon is just the beginning. You'll have a higher chance of encountering XXS and XXL variations of wild Pokémon. Keep an eye out for the debut of Shiny Nymble!

Wild encounters will feature increased appearances of Paras, Natu, Joltik, and various Burmy forms. Five-Star Raids will star Dialga and Enamorus (Incarnate Forme), while Mega Medicham and Mega Tyranitar will dominate Mega Raids. Shiny Pokémon hunting opportunities abound in both raids and wild encounters.

Collectors will want to focus on 2km Eggs, which will hatch Togepi, Azurill, Budew, and Dedenne. Field Research tasks reward encounters with Burmy and Nymble. Don't miss the event-exclusive Timed Research and Collection Challenge, offering Stardust, Poké Balls, and more event Pokémon encounters.

Regional variations of Flabébé will also appear: Red Flower (Europe, Middle East, Africa), Blue Flower (Asia-Pacific), and Yellow Flower (Americas). White and Orange Flower Flabébé have a chance to appear globally.

Finally, PokéStops will showcase event Pokémon. Prepare for the event by visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on supplies.
