This guide covers the exciting new features introduced with the arrival of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global event. Both legendary Pokémon bring unique Adventure Effects to enhance your gameplay.

Kyurem's Game-Changing Abilities:

• Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock: This electrically charged ice attack immobilizes wild Pokémon for 10 minutes, significantly simplifying capture.
• White Kyurem's Ice Burn: This move slows down the target ring during encounters, improving your accuracy for Excellent Throws.

Both effects are extendable in 10-minute increments, up to a maximum of two hours at a time and a total of 24 hours.

Boosting Your Catching Power:

The Tour Pass is your key to maximizing your gains. It unlocks rewards and significantly boosts the duration of Kyurem's Adventure Effects. Earn Tour Points by catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs, or expedite your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Each Major Milestone achieved enhances your Catch XP and extends the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn. Consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe for even greater benefits, including an immediate Victini encounter, additional event encounters, an avatar item, and the new Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket is a single-use item allowing you to instantly become Lucky Friends with a friend, optimizing your next trade.

Fusion Energy and Move Sets:

Encounter Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to collect Fusion Energy. Fusing Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem knowing Glaciate will replace Glaciate with Freeze Shock or Ice Burn, respectively. This change is temporary; the move reverts to Glaciate upon separation. Note that Kyurem cannot learn these moves via Charged TMs or Elite Charged TMs.

Event Badges and Special Research:

Choose between two event badges: Black Version (Reshiram) or White Version (Zekrom). Your choice determines the move set of Kyurem encountered after defeating the respective Kyurem (Glaciate) and your Special Research rewards (Reshiram-themed or Zekrom-themed).
