This clarification came after speculation that a new currency might replace Pack Hourglasses in upcoming expansions. The company firmly stated that this is not the case for the anticipated 2025 expansion, encouraging players to continue collecting these hourglasses for use with future packs.

In the absence of Pack Hourglasses, players can accumulate Pack Stamina by waiting through 12-hour intervals, allowing them to open two booster packs daily. Pack Hourglasses can be earned through daily challenges and by opening the Complimentary Item Set in the shop, which refreshes daily. Each Pack Hourglass accelerates the Pack Stamina accumulation by one hour, with 12 hourglasses needed to bypass the full 12-hour wait. In addition to Pack Hourglasses, Pokemon TCG Pocket includes various other currencies such as Wonder Hourglasses, Special, Event, and standard Shop Tickets, Poke Gold, and Pack Points.
