A Record-Breaking Unboxing Livestream

On November 26, 2024, The Pokémon Company International claimed a new Guinness World Record for the longest unboxing livestream, celebrating the launch of the Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion.

The marathon livestream, hosted on Pokémon's Twitch channel, featured well-known internet personalities including Serebii's Joe Merrick, PokeGirl Ranch, and Mayplaystv. Over 24 hours, this trio opened over 1,500 booster packs and other Pokémon products, accumulating an estimated 20,000+ cards, according to the official Pokémon press release.

The event may be over, but the celebrations continue! The Pokémon press release promises further giveaways on participating content creators' channels within the next two weeks. The impressive collection of cards will be organized and donated to charities such as Barnardo’s in the UK before the holidays.

This expansion introduces powerful Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, including the defensively-skilled Archaludon ex.

Fans can also find iconic Dragon-type Pokémon like Palkia, Dialga, Eternatus, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and Tatsugiri ex. The expansion also features Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards, including Alolan Dugtrio and Feebas, showcasing serene ocean scenes. New Tera Pokémon ex like Pallossand ex and Flygon ex add exciting options for TCG players.
