Cost of Upgrading Switch Games to Switch 2 Editions

Nintendo has revealed upgrade costs for two additional Switch games to their Switch 2 versions, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree, and they come with a steep price.

Upgrading The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to Switch 2 costs $9.99, but Nintendo Life and Eurogamer report that Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree upgrades are more than double that price.

Exact U.S. prices on the American Nintendo eShop are unclear, possibly due to uncertainty around President Trump’s tariffs, but the UK Nintendo eShop lists the upgrade pack at £16.99 / €19.99, compared to £7.99 / €9.99 for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
