January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha game market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in revenue, doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured a strong second position with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.

Conversely, Honkai Star Rail experienced a decline in revenue, earning $50.8 million in January. Zenless Zone Zero also saw a significant drop, with its earnings halved to $26.3 million compared to December's $57.9 million.

It's important to note that these figures represent mobile platform revenue only. While some titles, such as miHoYo's offerings, are also available on PC, they are excluded from this particular ranking. The data also incorporates a multiplier for Android revenue in China, due to the absence of Google Play in that market, based on iOS revenue in the same region.
