PUBG Mobile Global Open\'s final Qualifiers kick off this weekend
The PUBG Mobile Global Open Qualifier Finals are happening this weekend! This high-stakes competition, one of the most prestigious in PUBG Mobile esports, will see the final 12 teams emerge from a pool of 80, representing five regions and whittled down from an initial 90,000+ players.
This weekend's finals will determine which teams advance to the prelims, and ultimately, the PUBG Mobile Global Open itself. The main event runs April 12th-13th, preceded by the prelims on the 10th and 11th. This promises to be an exciting spectacle, especially considering PUBG Mobile's growing esports presence, including its return to the Esports World Cup.
While the overall reach of esports remains a topic of discussion (remember the Overwatch League's trajectory?), PUBG Mobile enjoys immense popularity, particularly in Asia, boasting a dedicated and passionate esports fanbase. With the upcoming Esports World Cup adding further momentum, the Global Open is sure to attract a large global audience.
