PUBG Mobile officially kicks off the Global Open with almost 100,000 participants

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, drawing over 90,000 competitors eager to showcase their skills in the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. The Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, offer a golden opportunity for emerging talent to advance and secure a spot in the prestigious PMGO Main Event.

With an impressive $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams must excel through various rounds to ultimately compete against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. This tournament, exclusively open to amateurs, is designed to spotlight new talent in the competitive scene.

Teams that boast at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already earned a place in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. In the coming weeks, up-and-coming squads will vie for advancement to the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the coveted opportunity to challenge PUBG Mobile’s elite at the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots, thanks to their outstanding performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will join the fray from regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers are scheduled to continue until March 2nd, leading into the Prelims on April 10th-11th, and culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This event marks the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to follow later in 2025.
