Rainbow Six Siege X Atlanta: New Features Unveiled
Now in its tenth year, Rainbow Six Siege is ushering in a new era. During today's presentation, Ubisoft unveiled Siege X, a transformative update likened to what CS2 was to CS:GO. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will mark a pivotal moment as the game transitions to a free-to-play model, inviting more players into its tactical world.
Key Changes in Siege X:
New Mode: Dual Front - A thrilling 6v6 match format that revolutionizes gameplay by blending attack and defense operators. Teams strive to capture enemy zones and plant sabotage devices. The map is strategically divided into multiple areas, including three zones per team and one expansive neutral zone. Players can respawn just 30 seconds after being taken down, keeping the action intense and continuous.
Advanced Rappel System - Siege X introduces an innovative rappel system, allowing players to navigate both vertically and horizontally using ropes, adding a new dimension to tactical maneuvers.
Increased Environmental Destruction - The game's environment is becoming even more interactive with the addition of new destructible elements. From fire extinguishers to gas pipes, players can now trigger explosive chain reactions, enhancing strategic gameplay.
Reworks for Five Popular Maps - Five beloved maps are set for major overhauls, promising refreshed environments that will challenge players to adapt their strategies.
Graphical & Audio Enhancements - Ubisoft is delivering a significant upgrade to the game's visuals and sound, ensuring a more immersive and engaging experience for all players.
Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures - A renewed focus on refining the anti-cheat system and addressing toxic behavior aims to create a fairer and more enjoyable community atmosphere.
Ubisoft has also announced a closed beta that will be available over the next seven days. Players eager to experience Siege X early can gain access by watching Siege streams, adding an exciting layer of engagement for the community.
