Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features

Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting updates, including new gameplay mechanics, features, and a fresh batch of expansions, mini-sets, and Battlegrounds seasons. The positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft mini-set has clearly fueled Blizzard's commitment to ongoing updates and engaging content throughout the year. A recently released roadmap provides a sneak peek at what's to come.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veteran and new players.

Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, along with a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though the specifics remain under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals are slated for next week, but the in-game celebration has already started! Complete the Event Track to earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

Further additions include a dynamic new game board that will evolve throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each expansion. The Core Set is also getting a refresh, featuring the return of some classic cards (with adjustments) and the introduction of brand-new cards.
