"Rauora Joins Rainbow Six Siege as New Operator"
The final day of the Six Invitational is always a highlight for Rainbow Six Siege fans, as Ubisoft traditionally unveils exciting new content. This year, they introduced Rauora, the latest attack operator hailing from New Zealand, adding a fresh dynamic to the game.
Rauora's standout feature is the DOM launcher, a bulletproof shield deployable exclusively in doorways. While it can be destroyed by explosives, its unique trigger mechanism adds a strategic layer to gameplay. The shield can be activated by anyone, but the time it takes to open varies: attackers can trigger it to open in just one second, whereas defenders must wait three seconds. This difference can be pivotal, especially in tense situations where the defuser has been planted.

Alongside her innovative gadget, Rauora brings a new weapon to the arsenal: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and an enlarged magazine. For her primary weapons, players can choose between the powerful M249 LMG or the precise 417 marksman rifle, offering versatile options for different playstyles.
Fans eager to try out Rauora can access her on the test servers starting next week. However, those playing on the live version of the game will need to wait a bit longer to experience her full capabilities.
