Record Peak: Once Human Reaches 230,000 Players, Mobile Debut Pending

by Mia Dec 24,2024

NetEase's post-apocalyptic survival game, Once Human, has achieved a remarkable 230,000 peak concurrent players on Steam since its PC debut, securing a top 7 spot in sales and a top 5 position in most-played games. Despite this initial success, the game's mobile release, initially planned for September, has been delayed. This delay, coupled with the "peak" player count terminology suggesting potentially lower average player numbers, hints at a possible early player decline. This is noteworthy considering the game had over 300,000 Steam wishlists.

The game features a captivating world ravaged by a catastrophic event, introducing supernatural elements. Planned updates include a PvP mode for the Mayflies and Rosetta factions, and a new PvE area in a northern mountain region with fresh challenges.
