Respawn Scraps Unannounced Titanfall Multiplayer Game

A former Respawn Entertainment employee revealed on their LinkedIn profile that an unannounced project has been canceled after several years in development. No official reason for the cancellation has been given.

Last year, journalist Jeff Grubb reported that the project wasn't a mainline Titanfall entry, confirming it wasn't Titanfall 3. Respawn assembled a dedicated "experimental team" of multiplayer shooter specialists to work on it.

This isn't the first Respawn project to be canceled. An arcade shooter codenamed Titanfall Legends was also scrapped last year.

The Titanfall series is celebrated for its unique blend of fast-paced action and mech combat, allowing players to fight as agile pilots or control powerful Titans. Since its debut in 2014, the franchise has cultivated a dedicated following thanks to its innovative gameplay, combining parkour mechanics with intense team-based battles.

Respawn is currently concentrating its efforts on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the third installment in the Star Wars Jedi series, and a new, unannounced strategy game set in the Star Wars universe, developed in partnership with Bit Reactor.
