Rivals Update 9 Introduces the Gunblade and Bridge Map as Nosniy Prepares to Add Ranked Mode

Roblox's popular first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and a thrilling new map, Bridge.

Developer Nosniy Games outlined the additions in today's patch notes, alongside a few minor adjustments. While a smaller update than some recent releases, it's sure to keep players engaged.

The Gunblade, a versatile rifle-blade hybrid, is a natural fit for Rivals' combat. Its dual functionality—ranged attacks and melee strikes—offers strategic advantages, particularly on the new Bridge map. This Seoul-based arena, created by @GreatGuyBoom, is a close-quarters combat zone featuring limited space and obstacles.

Notably, Update 9 focuses primarily on the new content, foregoing bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements. While minor skin modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi were implemented, and some weapon names adjusted (Hexxed to Vexed), Nosniy promises these will be addressed in the next major update, which will include the highly anticipated Ranked mode.

The developers stated, "We value your feedback and assure you that all necessary improvements will be implemented in time for the Ranked update."

Minor adjustments to Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins. Renamed Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed respectively.
