Sony Bravia X93L Review by Jaron Schneider:
"The Sony X93L isn’t cheap, but largely earns its price through very good image quality powered by top-tier processing that results in a fantastic gaming experience."
The Sony Bravia XR X93L, released in March 2023, stands as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, just below the X95L (available only in an 85" size in the US). The X93L features Mini LED technology, which excels in rendering HDR content. Mini LED technology uses an array of smaller and more numerous LEDs that can independently turn on and off, enhancing black levels and contrast ratios for a superior viewing experience.
Gamers will find the X93L particularly appealing. It comes equipped with four HDMI ports, two of which support the HDMI 2.1 specification. HDMI 2.1 allows for 4K output at up to 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for current-generation consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. While the upcoming Switch 2 will max out at 60fps in 4K when docked, it won't require HDMI 2.1 capabilities.
For Android smartphone users, the Sony Bravia XR X93L offers the reliable Google TV smart interface. This interface is user-friendly and efficient, and you can even use your Android device as a remote control for added convenience.
