Secret Fighter Added to Mortal Kombat 1 with Rock Legend Nod

This week, Mortal Kombat 1 received a major update introducing Conan the Barbarian to the roster. But there was one unannounced addition that caught everyone off guard—a pink-clad ninja named Floyd. You might assume it’s a prank, but he’s a fully realized secret fighter.
Of course, he’s a direct nod to the legendary rock band. His design pays homage to the iconic Dark Side of the Moon album cover, with light refracted into a spectrum of colors. Notably, Floyd’s moveset draws heavily from other ninjas—he can freeze foes like Sub-Zero or wield spears like Scorpion. An amusing detail? He starts with 1337 health points.
Longtime fans of the franchise will feel a sense of déjà vu, as this mirrors what happened with Reptile in the original Mortal Kombat. Reptile was a hidden fighter, notoriously difficult to defeat, with a move list stitched together from other characters.
Right now, the community is scrambling to uncover how to unlock the pink Floyd encounter, since it currently appears random—though Floyd does drop subtle hints about the required challenges. Still, no official confirmation exists.
