Pokémon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Fiery Ho-Oh Return

Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokémon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025. This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of 2025, offering trainers another chance to capture this powerful Fire-type Pokémon.

This event builds on the success of Shadow Raids introduced in 2023, providing a thrilling way to obtain these unique Pokémon variants. Following the popular Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo events of 2024, Ho-Oh takes center stage.

Event Details:

• Date: Sunday, January 19th, 2025
• Time: 2 pm to 5 pm local time
• Featured Pokémon: Shadow Ho-Oh (increased shiny encounter rate)
• Raid Passes: Up to 7 free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms (boosts to 15 with a paid ticket)
• Special Move: Teach Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Charged Attack, Sacred Fire (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 power in Raids and Gyms) using a Charged TM.

Boost Your Raid Day with a Paid Ticket:

For an enhanced experience, a $5 ticket will be available, increasing the maximum number of obtainable Raid Passes to 15. This ticket also offers:

• Increased Rare Candy XL encounter rate
• 50% bonus XP
• 2x Stardust from raid battles (all bonuses active until 10 pm local time)
