How To Get Shroodle in Pokemon GO

by Leo Feb 21,2025

The new year in Pokémon GO is bringing trainers a plethora of new Pokémon! Following Fidough's arrival, Shroodle is making its debut – but obtaining it isn't as simple as a standard wild encounter.

Shroodle's Pokémon GO Arrival

The Toxic Mouse Pokémon, Shroodle, enters Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, it's a relatively new addition to the Pokémon world. Post-event, Shroodle will remain available.

Shiny Shroodle?

Unlike some recent releases, Shroodle will not be available in its Shiny form at launch. Expect its Shiny variant to appear in a future event, potentially one focused on Poison-types or Team GO Rocket.

Catching Shroodle

Breaking from the usual wild spawns, Shroodle is exclusively obtainable by hatching 12KM Eggs. This is currently the only method.

12KM Eggs collected from January 15th, 12 AM local time onward, have a chance to hatch Shroodle. Its hatch rate will likely be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it should remain in the 12KM egg pool afterwards.

Acquiring 12KM Eggs

Given Shroodle's exclusive hatching method, obtaining 12KM Eggs requires defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni. The Taken Over event is ideal for stocking up on these rarer eggs, as Team GO Rocket activity will be increased, making Rocket Radars easier to obtain. However, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts to challenge Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff at any time to receive a 12KM egg (provided you have inventory space).

Grafaiai Acquisition

Shroodle's evolution, Grafaiai, also debuts January 15th. It's unavailable through eggs or wild spawns; evolution is the only method. Evolving requires 50 Shroodle Candy, necessitating multiple Shroodle hatches or using one as your buddy Pokémon.
