"Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Launch Date Revealed"

Get ready, Sonic fans! The blue blur is speeding back to the big screen with Sonic the Hedgehog 4, set to premiere on March 19, 2027. Paramount has locked in the date, giving us just two years to eagerly await the next adventure of everyone's favorite speedy hedgehog. While details remain under wraps, the anticipation is palpable following the massive success of Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

The third installment in the franchise raked in an impressive $218 million domestically and soared past $420 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Sonic movie to date. This achievement is especially noteworthy considering the initial backlash over Sonic's design in the first film, which was subsequently revamped to great effect. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 also secured its place as the second highest-grossing video game movie in North America, trailing only behind the animated Super Mario Bros. Movie, reigniting the classic Nintendo vs. Sega rivalry on the silver screen.

The live-action Sonic franchise has expanded significantly, now boasting three feature films and a Knuckles streaming TV show spinoff. Rooted in the beloved Sega video game series, the movies chronicle Sonic's (voiced by Ben Schwartz) battle against his arch-nemesis, Dr. Robotnik (played by Jim Carrey). Each new film has enriched the Sonic universe by introducing fan-favorite characters such as Tails (voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey), Knuckles (voiced by Idris Elba), and most recently, Shadow the Hedgehog (voiced by Keanu Reeves).
