Sony State of Play: 40-Minute PlayStation Showcase Set

by Madison Oct 25,2025

Sony has officially announced a State of Play presentation scheduled for tomorrow, June 4.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony Interactive Entertainment content communications manager Tim Turi stated that viewers can expect "updates and news on upcoming must-play titles for the PS5." Turi added: "This presentation will showcase a variety of fantastic games from developers around the world."

The event, lasting over 40 minutes, will start on June 4 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 11 PM CEST.

While details are limited, it is highly anticipated that we will see more of Sucker Punch's PlayStation 5 exclusive sequel, Ghost of Yotei, which is scheduled to launch in October.

Could the event also feature a look at Insomniac's Wolverine game, or reveal upcoming projects from other Sony-owned studios like God of War creator Sony Santa Monica, Days Gone developer Bend Studio, and Horizon's Guerrilla Games, which is reportedly developing a multiplayer spin-off?

Sony's subsidiary Bungie is also working on Marathon, though it remains uncertain how much of the game will be shown following its recent art plagiarism controversy. Additionally, Fairgames—now without Jade Raymond leading the project—continues to be in development. Last month, Sony introduced a new PlayStation studio named teamLFG and teased its first title, a live service project currently in incubation.

We may also get a glimpse of titles from external developers that Sony is publishing, such as Phantom Blade Zero.
