The Blast from the Past event begins with a quest to uncover information about a mysterious visitor, Emit. This involves typical Sim activities like watching TV, checking social media, and conversing with other Sims. The hunt for the Special Time Capsule, however, presents a unique challenge.

Clues are scarce, directing players to search for rocks near parks. Having previously interacted with Emit at the Willow Creek park provides a logical starting point. Examine rocks in the vicinity; one will contain what looks like embedded diamonds. Interact with this rock to unearth the Special Time Capsule. Multiple rocks may need investigation, but several should be present in the area.

The Contents of the Special Time Capsule

Upon discovery, the game prompts you to open the Special Time Capsule. Inside, you'll find an IOU note – a somewhat underwhelming reward for the effort expended. Read the note and return to Emit to unlock further quests within the Blast from the Past event.
