Elliot Page to Reimagine Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls as a TV Series

Elliot Page's Pageboy Productions has secured the rights to adapt Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls into a television series, as reported by Deadline. The project, currently in early development, aims to retain the game's distinctive non-linear narrative structure. Further details regarding casting and release dates remain undisclosed.

Page, who starred in the original game, described the experience as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career. He expressed a desire to create a compelling adaptation that resonates with both existing fans and new audiences, emphasizing the story's emotional depth and rich narrative.

Matt Jordan Smitt, Pageboy's head of development and production, highlighted the team's intention to honor the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He underscored the themes of survival and the impact of pivotal decisions as central to the narrative.

Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls, directed by David Cage, follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities and her connection to a spirit named Aiden. The game, known for its non-linear storytelling and star-studded cast (including Page and Willem Dafoe), subsequently launched on PlayStation 4 (2015) and PC (2019).

David Cage confirmed his collaboration with Page on the television adaptation, although the specifics of his involvement remain unclear. He expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with Page and highlighted the game's emotional impact on millions of players.
