Stellar Blade Studio Hints at PC Release

Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, hints at a potential PC release. Initially a PS5 exclusive due to its Sony partnership, Stellar Blade's strong sales and critical acclaim (82 on OpenCritic, and a top-selling title in the US during its launch month) have fueled discussions about expanding to PC.

While speaking at an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is "under consideration," but a firm timeline remains unavailable due to contractual obligations with Sony. CFO Jae-woo Ahn added that the AAA game market is shifting towards PC, and a PC release for Stellar Blade is being actively explored, believing it would significantly boost the IP's value.

A PC Port Seems Likely

Shift Up's previous financial report already indicated interest in both a sequel and a PC port of the original game. The recent comments from leadership further solidify this interest. Given Sony's growing trend of bringing PS5 exclusives to PC (with God of War: Ragnarok being the next example), a Stellar Blade PC release seems increasingly probable.

Currently, Shift Up is focused on optimizing the PS5 experience. A recent update unfortunately introduced some graphical glitches, but the developer has acknowledged these issues and is working on a fix.
