What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?
Originally released in Japan in 1995 and 1998 respectively, *Suikoden I* and *Suikoden II* are JRPG classics that made their way to Western audiences a year later. The games center around the recruitment of 108 warriors to form an army and combat evil forces. The remaster maintains the charm of the original pixelated graphics, now optimized for modern widescreen displays, with enhanced spell effects and newly drawn HD character portraits.
In addition to graphical upgrades, the remaster introduces quality-of-life improvements such as the ability to speed up battles, an auto-battle mode, auto-save functionality, and a conversation log to prevent missing important dialogue. The user interface has also been revamped, making tasks like changing equipment more intuitive.
