Themis Unveils Ballad of Dunes Event, Introduces New MR Cards

HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* called the Ballad of the Dunes. This update marks a special collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism, bringing the allure of detective work together with the vibrant heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the edge of the Gobi Desert.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The Ballad of the Dunes update is a captivating blend of history, romance, and mystery, set against the timeless backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will immerse themselves in solving intriguing mysteries while soaking in the rich cultural atmosphere of Dunhuang.

This event introduces four new MR cards, each featuring one of the game's main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. These cards are designed with elements inspired by Dunhuang's culture, showcasing flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the traditional pipa played behind the back, reminiscent of the ancient performers found in the Mogao Caves. The Silk Road, a historic corridor of art, culture, and trade since the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), is beautifully reimagined in *Tears of Themis* through this digital collaboration.

Each card comes with its own unique narrative: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." Accompanying these cards are Private Messages that delve into a thousand-year journey, adding depth to the event's storytelling.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and various other rewards by completing event tasks. The main event challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to reveal rewards.

The highlight of the event is the opportunity to obtain the Ballad of the Dunes MR card pack. Players can choose one of the four MR cards as their final reward for each round. Successfully flipping 100 cells will grant you the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
