This expansion introduces both country-to-country and city-to-country routes, adding a new layer of strategic depth to your gameplay.

In celebration of the holiday season, developer Marmalade has released this expansion as a special gift to Ticket to Ride enthusiasts. Alongside the new routes, the expansion brings two exciting new characters and four unique tokens to the game. These additions not only enhance the visual appeal but also introduce new mechanics that will challenge both new and seasoned players to adapt their strategies and foster a more dynamic play style.

With country-to-country tickets, players are tasked with connecting one country to another as specified on the ticket. Each ticket offers multiple options, such as linking France to Germany, Italy, or Austria, with varying point rewards for successful connections. Similarly, city-to-country tickets require players to connect a specific city to a country, adding another strategic element to consider.

Strategic planning is key, as each country has a limited number of nodes available. Players must quickly decide which routes are most crucial to their empire's growth. Upon completing a route, points are awarded based on the highest-scoring connection on the ticket. However, failing to make any connections results in a penalty equal to the lowest value on the ticket.

The Switzerland Expansion is now available for download on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with versions for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox coming soon.
