Tinkatink Debuts in Pokémon Go for Pokémon Horizons: Season 2 Celebration

by Olivia May 04,2025

The Horizons Celebration event is making a vibrant return to Pokémon Go, introducing the adorable and striking Tinkatink along with its evolutions, Tinkatuff and Tinkaton. From April 16th to 22nd, players can dive into this special event and experience these new additions to the game's roster. Tinkatink, with its distinctive pink hue and hammer, is not just for show; its final form, Tinkaton, famously uses its hammer to launch rocks at Corviknight. To evolve your Tinkatink all the way to Tinkaton, you'll need to gather around 125 Candy throughout the event week.

Adding to the excitement, a costumed Floragato wearing a hat adorned with Liko's pin will be available in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and appearing in Raids. Keep an eye out for its Shiny variant as well. Alongside Floragato, other Pokémon like Pikachu donning Cap's hat and Charcadet might make appearances, adding more variety to your encounters.

A delightful mix of Paldea region favorites, such as Fuecoco, Sprigatito, Quaxly, and Pawmi, will be roaming the wild. Meanwhile, seven km Eggs offer a chance to hatch Pokémon like Hatenna, Elekid, and potentially Tinkatink. Don't miss out on the fun of snapshot surprises, as characters from the Horizons series might photobomb your pictures, adding a unique touch to your Pokémon Go experience.

On the battle front, Pikachu in Cap's hat comes equipped with the powerful move Volt Tackle, enhancing its combat capabilities. Raid battles will feature a mix of Pokémon including Charizard, Metagross, Alolan Muk, and more Floragato. For those eager to maximize their rewards, Team Go Rocket balloons will appear more frequently, Egg hatch distances will be reduced by half, and both Shiny encounter rates and Stardust rewards will see a boost.

Engage in Field Research and take advantage of both free and paid Timed Research opportunities, which come with enticing rewards like an exclusive avatar pose. To prepare for the event, consider purchasing the Celebration Event Ultra Ticket Box available for $4.99 from the Pokémon Go Web Store.
