Tom Holland seen on tank in 'Spider-Man' set pics

Spider-Man's Glasgow Adventure Begins

Tom Holland has officially begun filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, sharing behind-the-scenes photos of himself suited up and riding atop a military tank. The fourth installment of Holland's solo Spider-Man series kicked off principal photography in Glasgow, Scotland, where production crews have transformed part of the city into a film set.

The star posted images to Instagram showing himself in full Spider-Man gear, securely harnessed to the moving armored vehicle. His caption simply read "Spider-Man Brand New Day 1," signaling the start of this highly anticipated production.

On-Set Thrills

Excited bystanders caught footage of the action-packed scene, with one shocked fan exclaiming, "That's f***ing Spider-Man!" The viral TikTok video shows Holland performing practical stunts on location rather than relying solely on CGI.

What We Know About the Story

Scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, Brand New Day picks up after the emotionally charged conclusion of No Way Home, where Peter Parker sacrificed his relationships to protect loved ones. The film introduces fresh faces while bringing back familiar ones in reduced capacities.

• Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) joins in a major unannounced role
• Jon Bernthal reprises his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher
• Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Michael Mando's Scorpion may appear

Early glimpses of military vehicles bearing mysterious insignia have sparked speculation about the film's primary antagonist. With multiple Marvel projects currently filming simultaneously - including Avengers: Doomsday at Pinewood Studios - fans can look forward to an interconnected universe of content arriving throughout 2026.
