Tony Hawk Hints at a 25th Anniversary Celebration for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

The legendary Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise is turning 25, and Tony Hawk himself has confirmed that Activision is planning something special to mark the occasion. While details remain scarce, the skateboarding icon recently revealed on Mythical Kitchen's YouTube channel that a celebratory project is in the works. "I've been talking to Activision again, which is insanely exciting. We're working on something—This is the first time I've said that publicly," he stated, promising fans something they'll appreciate.

The announcement fuels speculation about a potential new game, especially given the previous plans for remastered versions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4, which were ultimately canceled due to the closure of Vicarious Visions. Hawk previously expressed disappointment about the cancellation, stating that the project was underway until Vicarious Visions was absorbed by Activision.

To build anticipation, the official THPS social media accounts have already begun a month-long celebration, featuring new artwork and a giveaway of the THPS 1+2 remastered Collector's Edition. Rumors suggest a possible announcement during a Sony State of Play event this month, although this remains unconfirmed. Whether the project is a new game or a revival of the canceled remaster remains to be seen.
