"Top Jedi Survivors of Order 66 Ranked"

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, the final installment of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Released on May 19, 2005, it was the last Star Wars film directed by George Lucas before he sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012.

Fans eagerly anticipated Revenge of the Sith as it promised to show Anakin Skywalker's transformation into Darth Vader. A key plot point was the fate of the Jedi, resolved through Order 66, a sinister directive from Palpatine that turned the Clone Troopers against the Jedi they had fought alongside during the Clone Wars. Despite the vast number of Jedi, it was plausible that some escaped Palpatine's purge, especially those necessary for continuity with the Original Trilogy.

In the years since, numerous Order 66 survivors have been introduced in official Star Wars canon, prompting us to rank the top 10 who have significantly influenced the narrative. These survivors range from those who only lived a short while after the order to those who persisted well into the future, with some fates still undisclosed. All these Jedi lived to fight another day after Palpatine's chilling command to "Execute Order 66."

For this list, we set specific criteria: the characters had to have been under the Jedi Order's jurisdiction before Order 66, regardless of their rank—be it Padawan, Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, or even Jedi Initiate. This excludes non-Jedi Force-users like Maul and Palpatine, as well as those like Jod Na Nawood who, despite receiving some Jedi training, were never officially part of the Order.

There was some debate about including Asajj Ventress, who was trained by Jedi Knight Ky Narec on Rattatak for over 20 years and considered his Padawan. However, she never visited Coruscant or met the Jedi Council, and later turned to the Dark Side as Count Dooku's apprentice. Thus, she's listed as an honorable mention rather than a full inclusion.
