TownsFolk Unveils Major Update with New Mechanics, Structures, and Compendium

Short Circuit Studio has recently rolled out an exciting new update for their freshly launched settlement builder game, TownsFolk. Dubbed "Shadows and Fortune", this update embraces the game's darker pixel-art aesthetic and introduces a wealth of new mechanics to deepen your gameplay experience.

Despite its newness, TownsFolk isn't holding back on enriching its content. The "Shadows and Fortune" update adds eight new buildings to the mix, such as the Altar, Town Square, Blacksmith, Aqueduct, Bank, Granary, Factory, and Terraformer, each offering unique functionalities to enhance your town's development. Additionally, the game now features roaming Barbarians, injecting a new layer of tension into your campaign missions and Skirmish mode.

The aquatic environment also sees an update with the introduction of the rare Whale, adding an intriguing element to the water tiles. Furthermore, Special Locations like ancient Obelisks and new Shipwrecks bring an extra dose of unpredictability to your explorations.

The Exploration System has been revamped, and players can now adjust Campaign Difficulties between Frontier and Survival modes, catering to different play styles and preferences.
