Transformers Resurface: Leaked Gameplay Footage Ignites Excitement

Recently canceled Transformers: Reactivate, a co-op game unveiled by Splash Damage in 2022, has resurfaced in the form of leaked gameplay footage. The game, a collaboration between Splash Damage and Hasbro, would have featured Generation 1 Autobots and Decepticons uniting against an alien threat, "the Legion."

Limited footage was publicly shown before the cancellation announcement. However, leaked gameplay from a 2020 build has recently re-emerged online. This footage showcases Bumblebee navigating a destroyed city, seamlessly transforming between robot and vehicle modes, and utilizing various weapons. The gameplay bears resemblance to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, but with Bumblebee battling the Legion instead of Decepticons.

The leaked footage, despite some missing textures, appears polished and includes environmental destruction. A silent cutscene depicts Bumblebee emerging from a portal in New York City, contacting an ally named Devin regarding the Legion's attacks. Numerous other leaks exist, dating back to 2020, prior to the game's official announcement and eventual cancellation. While the game itself is unavailable, the leaks offer a glimpse into Splash Damage's vision for this ambitious, ultimately unfulfilled project.
