Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six & The Division Mobile to 2025
Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence
Ubisoft has announced a delay for both Rainbow Six Mobile and Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence. Initially slated for release sometime between 2024 and 2025, both titles will now launch after Ubisoft's fiscal year 25 (FY25), meaning a release sometime in early 2025 at the earliest.
The decision, detailed in a recent business report, aims to mitigate competition within the already saturated tactical shooter market. Ubisoft seeks to optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure a strong market launch, rather than releasing amidst a crowded field of competitors. The report suggests the games are nearing completion, but the company prefers a strategically advantageous release window.
This delay is particularly noteworthy given the impending release of competing titles like Delta Force: Hawk Ops. Ubisoft's strategy prioritizes a robust initial market performance over a rushed release.
While this news may disappoint fans eagerly awaiting mobile versions of their favorite franchises, pre-registration remains open for both games. In the meantime, players can explore other top mobile games of 2024 or consult our list of highly anticipated mobile games for alternative options.
