Ubisoft finally patched incompatibility of AC Origins and Valhalla with Windows 11
Ubisoft provides an update on their recent struggles and a positive resolution. While upper management continues to navigate challenges, a significant issue has been resolved.
Compatibility problems between several Assassin's Creed titles (including Origins and Valhalla) and the Windows 11 24H2 update, present since Fall 2024, have finally been addressed through newly released patches. These updates were announced on the respective Steam pages.
Positive player feedback followed the patch releases, with gamers expressing relief and gratitude for the fix, acknowledging that the problem stemmed from Windows, not Ubisoft's development. Despite this, reviews for both games remain "Mixed."
There's cautious optimism that Assassin's Creed Shadows, recently delayed until March 20th for quality improvements, will avoid similar compatibility issues. The game's launch is considered crucial for the company's future.
