Ubisoft's Project U: Leaked Intro Video Reveals Co-op Shooter Details
Ubisoft appears to be grappling with a series of unfortunate events surrounding its unannounced game, Project U. Gameplay leaks first emerged in 2022, shortly after the project entered its closed beta testing phase. These leaks have resurfaced in 2024, indicating that Project U is still actively in development. Amidst what seems to be a reboot of the game's development, an introductory cinematic has recently been leaked online.
The origin and authenticity of the cinematic remain unconfirmed by Ubisoft. The leak was shared by blogger Shaun Weber, known for his history of leaking gaming content. Weber has hinted that more videos from Project U could surface if the game continues to be developed for an extended period.
Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, taking inspiration from the success of Helldivers 2. According to the leaked footage, the game's narrative centers around an alien machine invasion of Earth, with players assuming the roles of chosen individuals tasked with combating this extraterrestrial threat.
As of now, Ubisoft has not provided any official information regarding a formal announcement for Project U.
