Unlock All BlazBlue Entropy Effect Characters: Guide
Unlocking characters in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* involves collecting items known as Prototype Analyzers, which are essential for accessing most of the game's roster. Our comprehensive *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* character unlock guide will walk you through how to obtain these crucial items and provide a detailed list of all playable characters.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Unlock Characters
You'll receive your first Prototype Analyzer immediately after completing the tutorial, setting the stage for your journey into character selection. To unlock your initial character, exit the Acer Program room via the passage to your right. You'll find yourself in a room with a glowing platform. Interact with it to access the character selection menu and choose your preferred character.
For subsequent characters, you'll need additional Prototype Analyzers. Return to the same room and interact with the platform once more to unlock new characters. Note that DLC characters, such as Rachel and Hazama as of March 2025, are exceptions. These characters become available automatically upon purchasing and installing their respective character packs.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: How To Get More Prototype Analyzers
*Entropy Effect* offers several methods to acquire more Prototype Analyzers, each requiring patience and dedication.
Progress the Story
As you advance through the story and complete training missions, you'll unlock gray skills. Reaching certain milestones in this progression will reward you with Prototype Analyzers:
- Unlocking 10 gray skills
- Unlocking 20 gray skills
- Unlocking 40 gray skills
Additionally, completing a significant event later in the story will grant you another Prototype Analyzer. However, unlocking green skills through Potential does not provide Prototype Analyzers. Without additional methods introduced by developer 91Act, you're limited to acquiring three Prototype Analyzers through story progression.
Complete Mind Challenges and Spend AP
Another avenue for obtaining Prototype Analyzers is through the Mind Challenge mode. By earning points in this mode, you can trade them with the janitor. Each Prototype Analyzer costs 5,000 AP, so it's a method that requires consistent effort.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect: All Characters
As of March 2025, *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* features 12 characters—10 included in the base game and 2 available through paid DLC. Below is a detailed overview of each character, excluding the two DLC characters which are unlocked through purchase.
Ragna the Bloodedge
Ragna is a melee fighter with a unique twist. He excels in close-range combat and gains power as his HP decreases. His special ability allows him to sacrifice health for buffs, then recover some of it by attacking enemies.
Jin Kisaragi
Jin is another melee specialist, focusing on swordplay and ice-based skills. He can freeze enemies, and with well-timed combos, he can significantly boost his strength and confuse enemies with super speed.
Noel Vermillion
Noel shines in ranged combat, capable of launching volleys of missiles in various directions. Her special ability reduces skill cooldowns, and she can continue casting skills even after her MP depletes using Over-Exhaust.
Taokaka
Although Taokaka may struggle against heavily armored foes, her versatility in building options compensates for this. Her Spinny Spinny attack can apply multiple hits and stack status effects, making various build choices viable.
Hakumen
Hakumen embodies the tank archetype, with his slow but powerful attacks and high durability. He can counter-attack with reduced MP costs after blocking, and his midair attack capability makes him versatile against any enemy type.
Lambda-11
Lambda-11 excels in both close and long-range combat. Her powerful skill set includes abilities that continue to damage enemies even when not directly attacking, making her a formidable presence on the battlefield.
Kokonoe
Kokonoe is often considered one of the weaker characters in *Entropy Effect*, requiring meticulous management of lasers and crowd control effects. However, with the right damage-over-time build, she can be highly effective.
Hibiki Kohaku
Hibiki excels at evading enemies and controlling groups, although he may not be the most powerful. His ability to avoid damage makes him a valuable asset in any team composition.
Es
Es is a powerhouse even without unlocking potentials. She can counter after dodging, performs well in mid-air combos, and has crowd-control abilities, making her highly versatile.
Mai Nastume
Mai has a high skill ceiling and can be challenging to master. Her effectiveness lies in stringing together combos for maximum damage and mobility, despite her Heavy Attack being her most prominent feature.
Rachel Alucard
Rachel is exceptionally powerful, with fast movement and the ability to reset her dodge moves. Her attacks cover a wide area, and one of her abilities is nearly impossible for enemies to evade, making her a top choice for players.
Hazama
Hazama requires strategic play due to his input-heavy moves. While he has a steep learning curve, mastering his skills makes him one of the game's strongest characters.
This guide covers all the characters in *BlazBlue Entropy Effect* and the methods to unlock them, providing you with the tools needed to assemble your perfect team.
