Vampire Survivors PlayStation Release Update

Vampire Survivors' PlayStation 4 and 5 ports are on track for a Summer 2024 release, though a precise date remains elusive. UK-based developer Poncle recently offered an update, attributing the delay to the unfamiliarity of PlayStation's submission process and the complexities of implementing their trophy system. This is a significant undertaking, considering the PC version boasts over 200 achievements.

The highly-rated roguelike, initially launched in December 2021, has already seen a successful Nintendo Switch port. The PlayStation versions will include the game's latest expansion, Operation Guns (released May 9th), a Konami Contra-themed DLC adding new biomes, characters, weapons, and music. A subsequent hotfix (1.10.105, May 16th) addressed bugs in both the base game and the expansion.

While Poncle hasn't confirmed a specific release date, their transparency has been well-received by fans eagerly anticipating the PlayStation release and the opportunity to earn a coveted platinum trophy. The Summer 2024 window is currently the best estimate for the arrival of Vampire Survivors on PS4 and PS5.
