The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing new endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic story of Dalaran's destruction, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch launch.

Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may not recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline, bidding farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the Lingering Shadows campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. For optimal understanding, complete prior story content to avoid spoilers and gain context. The Lingering Shadows campaign includes:

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was imposed on the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. To unlock this campaign, complete both the leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'Algar factions).

If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). Khadgar's presence indicates readiness to receive the quest (on or after January 7th). His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below:

Completing this campaign unlocks the Fate of the Kirin Tor achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
