Warzone Glitch Enables Use of Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Guns

Summary

  • A new glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
  • The glitch requires assistance from a friend and specific steps to be followed in a private match of Warzone.
  • This method is not officially supported and could be patched in future updates.

In the ever-evolving world of Call of Duty: Warzone, players are constantly seeking new ways to enhance their gameplay experience. A recent discovery by a Warzone enthusiast has unveiled a glitch that allows users to apply camos from Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) onto weapons from Black Ops 6 (BO6). This feature, which many in the community believe should be a standard option, could breathe new life into the hard-earned camos from MW3 that have been sidelined since the launch of BO6.

Players have long been grinding through Black Ops 6 to unlock its epic mastery camos. These camos, unlike weapon blueprints, are earned through in-game challenges without any additional cost. Achieving one hundred headshots and progressing through gold, diamond, and dark spine on various weapons ultimately leads to the coveted dark matter camo. However, for those who already unlocked these mastery camos in MW3, they've found them less useful in Warzone post-BO6 release. That's where the newly discovered glitch comes into play.

Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch

A Warzone player, known as BSPGamin on Twitter, has shared a method to equip MW3 camos on BO6 weapons within Warzone. Although effective, this method is not officially supported and could be patched out in future updates by developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software. The glitch was first highlighted by Dexerto.

Executing this glitch requires collaboration with a friend. Here's how to do it:

  1. Start a Private Match: Begin by launching a private match in Warzone.
  2. Equip BO6 Weapon: In the first loadout slot, equip a weapon from Black Ops 6.
  3. Join a Friend's Lobby: After equipping the BO6 weapon, join your friend's lobby.
  4. Switch to MW3 Weapon: Now, equip a weapon from Modern Warfare 3 in the first loadout slot.
  5. Spam Camos: Rapidly select the MW3 camo you wish to apply to the BO6 weapon.
  6. Host Switches to Private Match: While you're spamming the camo selection, the host must switch to a private match.
  7. Friend Backs Out: Your friend should then leave the private match.
  8. Repeat Camo Selection: Go back to the weapon and continue spamming the desired camo while your friend re-enters a private match.

If executed correctly, the MW3 camo should now be available on the BO6 weapon.

For those who prefer sticking to BO6 camos, there's good news on the horizon. Treyarch has confirmed plans to introduce a new challenge tracking feature in a future update for Black Ops 6. This feature, last seen in Modern Warfare 3, was missed by fans in the latest installment but will soon make a return, helping players keep track of their progress towards unlocking mastery camos.

This glitch and the upcoming update reflect the ongoing efforts of the Call of Duty community and developers to enhance the gaming experience, providing players with more options and better tools to enjoy their favorite game.
