Xbox Gives First Look at WWE 2K25

WWE 2K25: First Glimpses and Roster Speculation

Xbox recently teased WWE 2K25 with screenshots showcasing updated character models for CM Punk, Damien Priest, Liv Morgan, and Cody Rhodes, strongly suggesting their inclusion in the game's roster. With WWE 2K24's March 2024 release, speculation points to a similar launch window for WWE 2K25 in 2025, though no official release date has been announced.

The cover star remains a mystery, fueling fan speculation. Past WWE 2K games have featured iconic wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, as well as current stars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. While a Steam page leak hints at a potential cover athlete, confirmation awaits. Official details are promised for January 28, 2025.

Xbox's Twitter post, celebrating WWE RAW's Netflix debut, unveiled the screenshots. The images highlight improved character likenesses, particularly praised for Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan. Fan inquiries about Xbox Game Pass availability followed the reveal.

Four Confirmed Playable Characters:

  • CM Punk
  • Damien Priest
  • Liv Morgan
  • Cody Rhodes

Although these four are confirmed, the full WWE 2K25 roster remains undisclosed. Significant roster changes within WWE, including both departures and new signings, have fans eagerly anticipating their favorite Superstars' inclusion. Speculation includes Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, and the newly-gimicked Wyatt Six.

While the initial announcement came from Xbox, WWE 2K25 is expected on PlayStation and PC platforms. Whether it will be current-gen only is yet to be determined. A link from the WWE Games Twitter account directs to a wishlist page featuring Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, promising further WWE 2K25 details on January 28, 2025.
