Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass game lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. The January additions include a mix of genres and access tiers, offering something for most subscribers.

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

Microsoft's official Xbox blog post on January 7th, 2025, revealed seven new additions. Road 96, a narrative adventure game, is immediately available across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). Six other titles join the service later in the month:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th)
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): January 8th
  • My Time at Sandrock: January 8th
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: January 8th
  • Rolling Hills: January 8th
  • UFC 5: January 14th
  • Diablo: January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)

While leaks accurately predicted Diablo and UFC 5's arrival, it's noted that Diablo is exclusive to Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and UFC 5 is a Game Pass Ultimate-only title. The remaining games are accessible with a standard subscription.

New Perks and Departures:

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including weapon charms and DLC for various titles (Apex Legends, First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball). Conversely, six games are leaving the service on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This announcement covers only the first half of January. Microsoft promises further updates for the latter half of the month and beyond.
