New Xbox Game Pass Game Confirmed for January 21

by Matthew Feb 25,2025

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass is gearing up for a busy January 2025, starting with a strong addition on January 21st: Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a day-one title for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. This exciting skiing game offers both co-op and PvP modes, providing a thrilling addition to the service's catalog.

While the first half of January saw primarily existing titles shifting tiers, the second half promises a much more substantial update. Following Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Game Pass will welcome several other day-one releases, including Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st).

The inclusion of Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games and BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw, is particularly noteworthy, boasting a distinct Zelda-esque aesthetic.

This influx of new titles significantly bolsters the January 2025 Game Pass offerings, making up for a relatively quiet start to the month. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have access to all these day-one games as part of their subscription.

The full list of January 2025 additions includes:

  • Carrion - January 2nd
  • Road 96 - January 7th
  • Diablo - January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
  • Eternal Strands - January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st

In contrast, February 2025 currently appears less packed, with only Avowed confirmed for release on February 18th (Game Pass Ultimate). Until further announcements, January's robust lineup offers a substantial amount of new content for subscribers to enjoy.
