Zenless Zone Zero Patch Duration Leaked

Zenless Zone Zero: Upcoming Updates and Extended Patch Cycle

A recent leak suggests a longer-than-anticipated patch cycle for Zenless Zone Zero, potentially extending to Version 1.7 before the launch of Version 2.0. This revelation comes less than a year after the game's successful debut, a year marked by consistent updates introducing new characters and features, culminating in a McDonald's collaboration.

The game's popularity continues to grow, fueled by regular releases and a nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards. While the 1.4 update, featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, recently launched (and subsequently addressed player concerns regarding censorship), anticipation is already high for the upcoming 1.5 update, promising two new S-Rank playable units (Astra Yao and Evelyn), a fresh area, and a possible new skin for Nicole Demara.

According to reliable leaker Flying Flame, the current patch cycle will conclude with Version 1.7, followed by Version 2.0, then Version 2.8, culminating in Version 3.0. This contrasts with other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, which ended their initial cycles at Version 1.6. This extended cycle could significantly increase the game's content offering. Further fueling this expectation, the same leaker revealed plans for 31 additional characters, a substantial addition to the current roster of 26.

Zenless Zone Zero's Projected Patch Cycle:

  • Version 1.7, followed by Version 2.0
  • Version 2.8, followed by Version 3.0

While Version 1.7 remains some months away, players can eagerly anticipate Version 1.5's arrival, bringing a new main story chapter, an expanded game area, and engaging events. The addition of Astra Yao and Evelyn, both S-Rank units (with Astra Yao potentially excelling as a support character), is particularly exciting. Previous leaks have hinted at Astra Yao's required upgrade materials, suggesting players should begin farming in advance. With Version 1.4 expected to conclude in late January, the stage is set for a wave of new content and characters in the coming months.
