Chess Scanner

This chess score sheet scanner app digitizes your games effortlessly. Simply scan your score sheets to automatically generate digital game records. The app extracts text to reconstruct the game, providing an overview showing the scanned sheet alongside the generated moves. Incorrectly recognized moves can be easily corrected using the app's move suggestion feature.

Scanning & Input:

Use the integrated scanner or upload images from your gallery. Specify score sheets for both White and Black players (handy for tournament directors!). The app supports various notation systems including English, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Czech, and Slovak. While other notations can be used, accuracy might be lower. Up to two score sheets per player are supported.

Game Generation & Refinement:

Generate the game immediately after scanning or manually overlay the move grid. The game generation process uses the app's servers and takes 1-10 seconds depending on factors like score sheet clarity, game length, and internet connection.

Game Overview & Correction:

A clear overview displays the score sheet columns with generated moves. Move likelihood is color-coded. Tap a move to jump to the position and view suggested alternatives. Easily correct misrecognized moves with the probability-based move suggestions, filtering by piece if needed. You can also add, skip, or insert moves directly in the overview and regenerate the game.

Adding Game Details:

Add player names, tournament information, and descriptive notes to enrich your game data.

Managing & Exporting Games:

All your games are viewable in an overview, filterable by tournament, round, and favorites, with a search function for players or descriptions. Export filtered or individual games as PGN files (premium feature). Import games via PGN files is also supported. Analyze games directly on Lichess and Chess.com (premium feature).
